Okell’s brewery - an exciting future

Founded in 1850, Okell’s has become famous as the Isle of Man’s national beer, craft brewing according to the unique Manx Brewing Purity Law.

We’re embarking on an exciting new phase in Okell’s long history, under Head Brewer, Kevin Holmes.

We’re looking for a new Brewery Manager who can help steer Okell’s into the future.

It's a never ending passion to create the perfect pint of Okell’sand you need to support our Head Brewer with the operational professionalism demanded by a modern brewery.

You’ll be joining us at a pivotal time for our future strategy, supported by the resources of the Island’s biggest hospitality group, Heron & Brearley.

While we are embarking on exciting changes, one thing remains the same - making the perfect pint from just four, pure, ingredients.

Brewery Manager - your role

Reporting to the Head Brewer, you’ll be responsible for the control of the production process to ensure the quality of our brews along with keeping control of costs, compliance and the efficient running of Okell’s Brewery.

Managing the Okell’s brewery team, you’ll plan and coordinate the entire brewing process; from ensuring ingredients are available to scheduling production runs, ensuring brews are consistent and lab quality controlled to overseeing packaging operations. We always need to make sure the brewery’s plant is operating effectively so you’ll schedule maintenance work when required.

There’s always a need for effective administration, especially as you’ll be dealing with suppliers. You’ll also organise events, such as our famous beer tastings, at our Okell’s Brewery Bar.

In everything you do, as Brewery Manager you’ll be a true brand ambassador for Okell’s.
